US angry with IAEA`s peaceful approach toward Iran: Asefi
IRNA
Tehran, Nov 18, IRNA -- Iran`s foreign ministry spokesman Tuesday sai the recent remarks of the US secretary of state on IAEA`s future session on Iran revealed the anger of the US administration with peaceful handling of Iran`s nuclear issues. Hamid-Reza Asefi said that the US official`s comment on the forthcoming session of IAEA`s Governing Council on Iran`s nuclear activities shows Washington`s anger at efforts made by international community to settle the issue through dialogue and cooperation, and and also Iran`s honesty and transparency in offering a comprehensive report to the agency. "It is clear for us that such remarks before the IAEA meeting are aiming at affecting the atmosphere of experts` talks and the trend of technical negotiations and thus politicizing the issue," Asefi said. He hoped the member states of the Governing Council would answer Iran`s goodwill and transparency in nuclear cooperation and do not let a country to dictate its own views and opinions on the authorized officials. "The US should stop vaguely insisting on imposing its own opinions and views on others and we believe this is the first lesson of democracy the United States should learn," the spokesman further stated.
