Asefi: Iran will suspend uranium enrichment within next few days

IRNA

Tehran, Nov 9, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi
said on Sunday that Iran will suspend uranium enrichment within the
next few days.
The uranium enrichment plant has been set up to produce fuel for
Bushehr nuclear power plant.
"Iran will announce its decision to sign the additional protocol
to non-proliferation treaty (NPT) within the next few days," he told
reporters in his weekly briefing.
He said that Iran has provided the International Atomic Energy
Agency (IAEA) with full details of national nuclear program and
extensive cooperation is going on with the specialized agency to prove
the futility of the propaganda against Iranian nuclear program.
Those who had pinned hope on mobilizing the international
community against Iranian nuclear program have been disappointed with
Iran`s transparent cooperation with the agency.
Absence of logic on the part of those orchestrating propaganda
campaign against Iran`s national program surface more and more every
day when they see themselves disarmed by the transparent action taken
by Iranian officials to sign the protocol.
The enemies of the Iranian nation and the national economic
development see themselves frustrated to an extent that they say
publicly that Iran may use the non-weapon grade fuel for producing
nuclear arms indicating that they forget logic when they see that
Iran`s transparency has left no room for their malicious goals.
Iran has decided to generate 8,000 megawatts electricity from
nuclear power plants by the year 2015. Iran`s uranium enrichment
plant is designed to produce non-weapon grade fuel in line with the
IAEA safeguards.
