IRNA
Tehran, Nov 2, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi said here Sunday that enrichment of Uranium in Iran was conducted only in a very primitive stage under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Talking to domestic and foreign reporters, he noted that Iran was going to stop the uranium enrichment process voluntarily to prove its goodwill. Touching upon the issue of Dariush Zahedi, the Iranian national now residing in the US, Asefi expressed hope that he would be released soon as a result of the efforts undertaken by the Foreign Ministry and collaboration with the Judiciary. The spokesman further referred to the talks between Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi and his British counterpart regarding release of the two Iranian documentary filmmakers arrested in Iraq and said he hoped for good news in coming days. 1424/210 End
