US expected to take practical steps to improve relations with Iran
IRNA
Tehran, Oct 29, IRNA -- The United States is expected to take practical steps to improve relations with Iran, Government spokesman Abdollah Ramezanzadeh said on Wednesday. "You cannot pose threats on one hand, block Iranian national assets, fabricate charges against Iran and then call for talks," Ramezanzadeh told reporters in response to a question whether Iran accepts US Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage`s proposal to Iran to initiate talks. Armitage told Senate Foreign Relations Committee, "We are prepared to engage in limited discussions with the government of Iran about areas of mutual interest, as appropriate." 215/AH/210 End
