Solana, ElBaradei discuss Iran`s nuclear program

Brussels, Oct 27, IRNA -- EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana, the 
foreign ministers of Italy, France, the UK plus a representative of 
the German government met the head of the IAEA, Mohammad ElBaradei, 
in Brussels Monday. 
Solana`s spokesperson Cristina Gallach told IRNA the the EU 
foreign ministers briefed ElBaradei about the outcome of their visit 
to Tehran last week. 
The two sides agreed to be in touch about the IAEA engagement in 
Iran. 
Gallach noted that Solana is in constant contact with ElBaradei. 
"We analysed the developments in Tehran as very positive," she 
said. 
UK`s Jack Straw, Germany`s Joschka Fischer and France`s Dominique
de Villepin visited Tehran for talks last Tuesday on iran`s nuclear 
program following which Iran agreed to sign the Additional Protocol 
to the NPT. 
German foreign minister Joschka Fischer was not present in 
today`s meeting because of other engagements. 
The EU foreign ministers are in Brussels to participate in a 
meeting focused on the new European Constiution. 
Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini, whose country holds the
rotating EU presidency, was also present at Monday`s meeting with 
ElBaradei.
