Iran`s cooperation with IAEA favorable as before: IAEO spokesman

IRNA

Tehran, Oct 6, IRNA -- Spokesman for Iran`s Atomic Energy
Organization (IAEO) Saber Zaimian said here Monday that Iran`s
cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is
favorable as it was before.
Talking to IRNA, Zaimian expressed satisfaction over the outcomes
of IAEA`s two-day talks with its representatives in Tehran and
termed such negotiations as "positive".
"It seems possible to reach the two sides` favorable answers
earlier than the predicted time regarding mutual trust between Iran
and the agency," he said.
"Required and demanded information of the International Atomic
Energy Agency is provided to the agency`s representatives," he added.
Zaimian gave no further explanation on the details of such
information provided by Iran to the agency.
He said IAEA Deputy Director-General Peter Goldschmidt left
Tehran at the end of the first round of talks and determination of
the main agenda of negotiations and inspections, adding the
five-member delegation of IAEA representatives will continue talks in
Tehran to reach favorable answers to the two sides` questions.
The spokesman predicted that negotiations and inspections of the
centers that both sides agreed to be inspected will last for two
weeks.
The six-member technical delegation of the agency arrived in
Tehran on Thursday to hold talks with Iranian officials and experts.
This is the first visit by IAEA` experts to Iran after a
resolution passed by its board of governors against Iran.
The IAEA Board of Governors passed a resolution setting Iran an
October 31 deadline to prove it had no secret weapons programs on
September 12.
