Berlin refuses comment on Iran`s opposition to IAEA deadline
IRNA
Berlin, Sept 12, IRNA -- A German foreign ministry spokesman refused to react on Iran`s opposition to accept a possible deadline by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to open up its nuclear progamme for inspections. "There are ongoing talks in Vienna at this hour. At this point I don`t want to comment on alleged statements (by Iran)," Walter Lindner told the media, responding to an IRNA question about Berlin`s stance towards Tehran`s opposition to a possible IAEA deadline. Lindner stressed his country`s role in supporting a resolution at the IAEA meeting in Vienna which could impose a deadline on Iran over full clarification of its nuclear facilities. Iran has repeatedly warned of severing cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog body, should the American-instigated political pressure against Tehran continues. OT/214 End
