IAEA Chief urges Iran to sign additional protocol

Vienna, Sept 8, IRNA -- International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Chief Mohamed ElBaradei here Monday called on Iran to sign the Additional Protocol to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). Speaking prior to the meeting of the IAEA board of governors, ElBaradei called for immediate inspection of Iran`s nuclear sites. The IAEA chief added that Iran`s nuclear activities will be the main topic of the session`s agenda. Elbaradei will present the session a report on Iran`s nuclear activities. The meeting of the IAEA board of governors will kick off with the participation of representatives from 35 member states in Vienna Monday. FM/213 End
