Iranian legislators to discuss cooperation in Russia

Moscow, Aug 30, Itar-Tass/ACSNA/ IRNA -- A delegation from Majlis, Iranian parliament, will pay a visit to Moscow at the invitation from the State Duma at the beginning of September, an Iranian embassy official told ITAR-TASS in Moscow. According to the official, the delegation will be led by head of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Mohsen Mirdamadi. The Iranian lawmakers were invited to visit Russia by chairman of the Duma Committee for International Affairs Dmitry Rogozin, who visited Iran last year. The Iranian delegation is scheduled to meet Russian parliament members and it will be received by the leadership of the Atomic Energy Ministry. A well-connected source in the Russian government structure noted that the conversation in the Atomic Energy Ministry will take place on September 5 and will include discussion of prospects for cooperation in the nuclear sector. The parties will discuss in particular details of the signing of an additional protocol to the Agreement on cooperation between Russia and Iran in the construction of a nuclear power station in Bushehr. The new document specifies the terms and conditions of the return to Russia of spent nuclear fuel. /FM/211 End
