Vienna, Aug 26, IRNA -- The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) released the report of Iran`s nuclear program for the member states of the Board of Governors on Tuesday, an official of the Vienna-based agency told IRNA. He said that the report was made available among the 35-nation Board of Governors several hours ago to be studied at the upcoming meeting of the Board on September 8. The IAEA official said that the report had been distributed only among representatives of the member states at the Board of Governors and no details are available about its contents. The IAEA had already released a report about Iranian nuclear program for the members of the Board of Governors on June 6. The IAEA was established in Vienna in 1957 to enlarge contribution of atomic energy to peace, health and prosperity throughout the world and to ensure that assistance provided by it or at its request or under its supervision or control is not used in such a way as to further any military purpose. The IAEA is administratively a member of the United Nations and reports on its activities once a year to the UN General Assembly. Iran whose membership dates back to 1958 is the founding member of the agency. 215/AH/210 End
