Iran: Tehran Confirms Test Of Missile
Tehran, 7 July 2003 (RFE/RL) -- Iran says it has conducted a final test of its Shahab-3 ballistic missiles, putting its enemy Israel within range of the country's armed forces.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi today said the test took place several weeks ago. He said the missile will now be handed over for operation to Iran's armed forces. Officials have said the missile has a range of 1,300 kilometers.
