Alameh Fadhlollah Criticizes U.S. Clamor over Shahab-3 Missile

BEIRUT Allameh Seyed Mohammad Hussein Fadhlollah here Friday severely criticizing the United States' hue and cry over Iran's recent test of its Shahab-3, medium range missile, stated that the U.S. fomented its anti-Iranian propaganda within the framework of its support to Zionist regime. Addressing the Friday prayer congregated worshippers in southern Beirut, the Lebanese prominent Alim added The United States does not want to see Iranian defense ability in face of any possible external threat. The Alameh then rejected claims made by the U.S. officials as saying the Iranian missiles threatened its neighboring countries. He noted that such vain claims by Washingon have been aimed at disrupting the existing good relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Arab nations. Fadhollah then called on Muslims around the world to resist the conspiracies of the United States as the enemy number one of the Islamic nations. The Lebanese Friday prayer leader referring to the poverty of the southern Sudanese people, deemed it due to the Washington's plots and its supports to the insurgents in the southern part of that country. Saying that the United States and other arrogant powers are not desirous to see stability and economic growth in the Muslim country of Sudan, Fadhollah called on the Muslim and Arab nations to dispatch food aids and weapon for the Sudanese government in a bid to give an end to the insurgent domestic war in southern Sudan. At the end of his second sermon the prominent Lebanese Alim also categorically criticized the double standard policies of U.S. and the European union towards the issue of Muslims in Kosovo.
