WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 1994
MA'ARIV reported that Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin gave U.S.
officials new information on extremist Islamic terrorism, including
Iran's role in terrorist activities.
DAVAR also reported that an Israeli official in Washington said
Iran and Syria are now producing parts for the North Korean Scud-C
missile. In addition, the source estimated that the two countries
are now receiving technology from North Korea to enable them to
produce the entire missile domestically.
According to the source, Israel believes the U.S. succeeded in
halting Iranian efforts to participate in Pyongyang's development
of a new missile with a reported range of 1,000 kilometers (650
miles). The source added that even with the achievements of the
peace process, Israel must still be prepared for the possibility of
war.
