- Cabinet approves procurement of 56 C-295MW transport aircraft for Indian Air Force India PIB 08 Sep 2021 -- Today, Cabinet Committee on Security approved the procurement of fifty six C-295MW transport aircraft from M/s Airbus Defence and Space S.A., Spain for the Indian Air Force. C-295MW aircraft is a transport aircraft of 5-10 Tonne capacity with contemporary technology that will replace the ageing Avro aircraft of IAF. The aircraft has a rear ramp door for quick reaction and para dropping of troops and cargo.

- Centre reviews COVID-19 Vaccination with 11 North Eastern and Hill States/UTs India PIB 04 Sep 2021 -- Union Health Secretary Shri Rajesh Bhushan chaired a high-level review meeting today with 11 North East and Hill States and UTs: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura and Uttarakhand.
At the outset, the Health Secretary underlined that:
a) The States/UTs need to quickly saturate the first dose coverage among the 18+ population category.

- India and US sign Project Agreement for Air-Launched Unmanned Aerial Vehicle US Air Force 03 Sep 2021 -- The Ministry of Defence of India and U.S. Department of Defense concluded a Project Agreement (PA) for Air-Launched Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (ALUAV) under the Joint Working Group Air Systems in the Defence Technology and Trade Initiative (DTTI), on Friday, July 30, 2021. The Air-Launched UAV PA falls under the Research, Development, Testing, and Evaluation (RDT&E) Memorandum of Agreement between the Indian Ministry of Defence and the U.S. Department of Defense that was first signed in January 2006, and renewed in January 2015. The agreement is a significant step towards deepening the defense technology collaboration between the two nations, through co-development of defence equipment.
