India-IAF-MiG 21 Crashes
MiG-21, an Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter plane crashed Friday in the border district of Kutch in Gujarat state.
The fighter plane crashed immediately after take off from the IAF's base in Bhuj but the pilot was ejected safely, said Indian national TV news portal.
The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 is a supersonic jet fighter aircraft, designed and built by the Mikoyan-Gurevich Design Bureau in the Soviet Union.
More than 30 countries of the world have flown the MiG-21, and it still serves many nations a half-century after its first flight.
