Co-pilot killed as IAF's helicopter crashes in Bangalore

Indian Air Force (IAF)'s advanced light helicopter 'Dhruv' crashed at Yelahanka Air Force Station, Friday killing the co-pilot and injuring the pilot, defence sources said.

Squadron Leader, Sharma died in the crash.

The pilot Wing Commander V Jetley sustained injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he has been kept under observation foro 24 hours, PTI reported here quoting IAF official.

The two were part of IAF's 'Sarang Display 'team' and were on a sortie, along with three other helicopters, practicing for the Bangalore International Airshow, beginning next week.

There was no mid-air collision.
