Indo-US joint military air exercise begins

The six-day joint Indo-US military air exercise began this morning at Kalaikunda airforce station in West Midnapore district amidst protest demonstrations by Left Front activists.
Tight security measures have been taken in view of the exercise with the police putting up barricades on roads leading to the airforce station.
IAF sources confirmed the joint exercise had begun.
The demonstrations have been organized by the West Midnapore district's Left Front.
