Jaguar crashes at Gwalior airbase

A Jaguar fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashes Friday morning at the Gwalior airbase just before takeoff for an exercise.

The pilot, Sqn Ldr V Gupta, safely ejected out of the aircraft.

The crash occurred at 0830 hours when the aircraft was taking off on a strike mission but developed some technical fault and crashed.

There was no injury or damage on ground.

A court of inquiry has been ordered into the crash.
