NEW DELHI: Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda indicated in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday that the government would not give up the development of the intermediate range Agni missile programme.
``We will give full support to the scientists working on this programme,'' Mr Gowda said, replying to a discussion on the motion of thanks to the President's address.
Mr Gowda said his government could take a tough stand on the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) because it had got the cooperation of the House. ``It was the achievement of the House,'' he added.
