TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iranian mission in the UN criticized French claims on the country's peaceful nuclear issue.
During the UN General Assembly Committee meeting on Disarmament and International Security, the mission outlined French unjustifiable record in sending chemical and nuclear weapons for Saddam and Zionist regimes and said, "France as a Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) member has a long record in refusing implementation of international disarmament and non-proliferation commitments."
The mission called French claims on disarmament "ridiculous" and said, "France is defending disarmament whereas it has conducted many nuclear tests outside of its territory from North Africa to Pacific Ocean and has contaminated the environment with radioactive wastes."
The mission reiterated that France is not qualified to make comments on concerns over proliferation of nuclear weapons. "France was the first country which helped Zionist regime to build its Dimona Reactor inside occupied Palestinian lands as a part of France and Britain disgraceful agreement with Zionist regime in 1959."
The mission also called on France to follow international rules instead of unfounded claims against other countries.
