On March 28, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth held a call with his French counterpart, Minister of the Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu. Secretary Hegseth provided an update on the recent U.S. strikes against the Houthi terrorists in Yemen and discussed options for ensuring free and open shipping lanes in the Red Sea. Minister Lecornu and Secretary Hegseth discussed efforts by our two nations to ensure stability and security in the Red Sea.
