Russia-DPRK talks

Vladimir Putin has arrived in Pyongyang on a friendly state visit at the invitation of Kim Jong-un.

Chairman of State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Kim Jong-un held an official welcoming ceremony for President of Russia Vladimir Putin on Kim Il-sung Square. During the ceremony, the two leaders introduced members of their delegations.

Russia-DPRK talks began in expanded format and later continued as a one-on-one meeting.

Following the consultations, Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un signed a Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries. During Vladimir Putin's visit to the DPRK, the sides also signed intergovernmental agreements on building a trans-border road bridge and on cooperation in the fields of healthcare, medical education and science.

Later, Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un took a walk around the Kumsusan residence and attended a gala concert.
