Efforts to Minimize Typhoon and Downpour Damage Brisk in Light Industry of DPRK

Pyongyang, August 9 (KCNA) -- The light industry sector of the DPRK is dynamically organizing and conducting the work to minimize damage by typhoon and downpour.

The Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Silk Mill mobilized broadcasting cars and mobile acoustic amplifiers to inform the producers of weather conditions and order of action in the event of natural disasters as part of the efforts for minimize damage by typhoon and heavy rain.

It is keeping vehicles on standby for earlier evacuation of the employees in case of emergency.

The Sinuiju Textile Mill takes practical measures to prevent strong wind and downpour damage, bringing sand sacks to the spots vulnerable to storm and flood and keeping water pumps in good condition.

Such campaign has been witnessed in other light industrial establishments across the country. -0-
