Russian FM Denounces U.S. and S. Korean Puppets for Aggravating Situation

Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- Spokeswoman for the Foreign Ministry of Russia Mariya Zaharova released a commentary on August 24 to denounce the U.S. and south Korean puppets for aggravating the situation on the Korean peninsula.

She expressed her concern about the ever-aggravating situation on the Korean peninsula owing to the recent large-scale joint military exercises by the U.S. and the south Korean authorities and provocative leaflet-scattering by the south Korean authorities against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

Russia, interested in maintaining and boosting durable peace and stability in the region as a state bordering the Korean peninsula, regards such acts of arousing the serious concern of the DPRK as a non-building and dangerous one and negatively approaches the measures for escalating tension, she concluded. -0-
