Amnesty to Be Granted in DPRK

Pyongyang, January 20 (KCNA) -- The Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK decided to grant an amnesty to those who had been convicted of the crimes against the country and people, on the occasion of the 110th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung and the 80th birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

The amnesty will be enforced from January 30, Juche 111 (2022).

The DPRK Cabinet and relevant organs will take practical measures to help the released people settle down for normal working life.

The Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK announced a decree in this regard. -0-
