Reception Given to Mark 70th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between DPRK and China

Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- The Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the China-Korea Friendship Association jointly gave a reception in Beijing on Oct. 11 to mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the People's Republic of China.
Present at the reception on invitation were Ji Jae Ryong, DPRK ambassador to China, and staff members of his embassy.
Cao Jianming, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China, Song Jingmu, vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Central Military Commission and other officials concerned.
Speeches were made there.
Cao Jianming said that China-DPRK friendship provided and developed by the leaders of the elder generation of the two parties and two countries are carried forward as common wealth despite all sorts of ordeals.
Noting that he was pleased with the fact that the Korean people are making great progress in socialist construction under the guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea led by Chairman Kim Jong Un, he voiced firm support for the just cause of the Korean people.
Ji Jae Ryong said that the history of the DPRK-China friendship is associated with the comradely friendship between the leaders of the elder generation of the two countries who joined hands in close cooperation to accomplish the cause of anti-imperialist independence, peace and socialism.
He said he would strive to boost the friendly relations, wealth common to the peoples of the two countries, together with the Chinese comrades.
That day the Liaoning Province People's Government of China also gave a similar reception. -0-
