FM of DPRK Meets UN Secretary-General

Pyongyang, September 30 (KCNA) -- DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho, who is attending the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly as head of the DPRK delegation, met and had a talk with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres at the UN Headquarters on Sept. 28.
Antonio Guterres highly appreciated the inter-Korean summits, DPRK-U.S. summit and other dialogues held so far this year, and hoped that all the issues would be tackled well through the efforts of all parties.
Ri Yong Ho said that Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un brought about a new phase of dramatic détente of the situation in the Korean peninsula with his superb political ability and through energetic external activities. And he stressed that the UN has responsibility and duty to support and encourage the development of situation helpful to the international peace and security in keeping with its mission. -0-
