Kim Jong Un, top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), has confirmed his readiness to visit Russia, the RIA news agency quoted speaker of the upper house of the Russian parliament, Valentina Matviyenko, as saying after she met Kim in Pyongyang on Saturday.
But the DPRK top leader will not be able to attend the Eastern Economic Forum, which will take place from September 11 to 12 in the city of Vladivostok, she said.
Matviyenko also delivered a letter from Russian President Vladimir Putin to Kim.
