North-South General-Level Military Talks Held

Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- The north-south general-level military talks took place at the "House of Peace" in the south side portion of Panmunjom on Tuesday to implement the Panmunjom Declaration.

Present there were a delegation of the north side led by Army Lieutenant General of the Korean People's Army An Ik San and a delegation of the south side with Major General Kim To Gyun as chief delegate.

At the talks the pending issues in defusing the military tension and removing the danger of a war on the Korean Peninsula were sincerely discussed and there was an agreement to continue discussing and settling the necessary issues in the future. -0-
