The Democratic People's Republic of Korea's (DPRK) state-run television released a statement on Sunday on why the country conducted its recent intercontinental ballistic missile test.
KRT News said the launch was to send a grave warning to the US on their sanctions on the DPRK, and that it "would not go scot-free if it dares to provoke," adding that the US is "losing their mind."
It said that if the US continues to resort to military adventures and "tough sanctions," Pyongyang will respond with its "resolute act of justice."
On July 29, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson responded that the DPRK's launch was a "blatant violation" of multiple UN Security Council resolutions.
Following Friday's missile launch, the US flew two supersonic B-1 bombers over the Korean Peninsula on Sunday in a show of force.
