Top DPRK leader underscores ruling party's leadership over military education

Top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong Un stressed the need to improve the leadership of the ruling Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) over military education, the state KCNA news agency reported Thursday.
In a speech delivered at the seventh meeting for military education officers, Kim said the Korean People's Army should bolster its military capability by thoroughly carrying out the party's policy of making a revolution in military education.
He said the duty of military schools at all levels is to train cadets to absolutely trust, follow and defend the party, as well as to train officers to skillfully command operations.
He also said that the guidance of the WPK over the military education should be strengthened, calling for innovation to improve educational contents and methods.
The meeting was held Tuesday and Wednesday, with senior army officials including Hwang Pyong So, Pak Yong Sik, Ri Yong Gil present at the event.
