The North Korean leader made the remarks after the latest exercises DPRK conducted close to the border with South Korea. Kim Jong Un personally supervised the drills aimed at striking and capturing an island following an enemy attack.
The exact venue where the military exercises were held was not reported. The North Korean news agency, KCNA, allegedly described it only 'as the biggest hotspot in the southernmost part of southwestern front,' as quoted by Yonhap.
They took place ahead of annual US – South Korea joint drills, known as Key Resolve/Foal Eagle, set to be conducted next month.
