Kim Jong Un Issues Order to Promote Military Ranks of KPA Commanding Officers

Pyongyang, February 16 (KCNA) -- Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Un issued an order to promote the military ranks of KPA commanding officers on February 14 on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star (birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il).
According to the order of the supreme commander, the title of Ground colonel general was conferred on Choe Kyong Song, the title of Ground lieutenant general on Kang Yong Thae, Choe Chang Sik, Kang Pyong Hu, Sin Sok Man, So Tae Ha and Pak Kyong Uk, the title of Air Force major general on Jong Se Yong and Ri Il Chan, the title of Strategic Force major general on Kim Jong Sik, and the title of Ground major general on Pak Myong Su, Ko Myong Su, Kim Song Guk, Choe Kil Ryong, Ko Su Yong, Kim Yong Nam, Pak Hyon Bok, Ri Jong Sop, Kang Myong Sik, Kim Kyong Dok, Ju Sang Rae, Choe Chol Hwan, Kim Chol Su, Ju Hyong Nam, Kim Jong Gil, Won Myong Su and Hong Kyong Chol.
Kim Jong Un expressed belief that the KPA commanding officers, descendants of President Kim Il Sung and soldiers and disciples of leader Kim Jong Il, will fulfill their honorable responsibilities and duties in the general offensive to hasten the final victory in the revolutionary spirit of Paektu, always bearing mind the trust and expectation of the party and the people.
