DPRK Premier Makes Field Survey of Pukchang Thermal-power Complex

Pyongyang, March 18 (KCNA) -- DPRK Premier Pak Pong Ju made a field survey of the Pukchang Thermal-power Complex.

The premier looked round various places of the complex and held a consultative meeting.

The meeting discussed measures for the complex to increase power production by meticulously organizing technical control and equipment management and for related units to ensure raw and other materials.

Then followed a consultative meeting to fully provide the complex with coal. It stressed the need for the coal industrial sector to contribute to increasing power production by carrying out the monthly and quarterly production plans without fail.

Earlier, the premier made a field survey of the Chollima Steel Complex.

He learned about the operation of 6 000-ton press and looked round the production processes of the steel shop before holding a consultative meeting.

The meeting took measures to substantially produce iron and steel needed for economic construction and improvement of the people's living standard and discussed supplying raw and other materials in time at related units.
