Pyongyang, April 9 (KCNA) -- In response to the speech made by respected Marshal Kim Jong Un at the recent national meeting of light industrial workers, an unprecedented upswing has been effected in the country's light industrial sector.
In particular, light industrial factories in Pyongyang City have striven to improve the quality of goods in keeping with the requirements of consumers.
In this regard, KCNA met Ko In Sil, a department director of the Pyongyang City People's Committee.
Upon receiving Marshal Kim Jong Un's speech, light industrial factories in the city began channeling more efforts into the improvement of quality of products.
Such move could be seen through the 3rd Commodity Show held some days ago, which exhibited some 23,000 items of goods in more than 800 varieties. All of the exhibits won high appraisal for their high quality.
Various kinds of bags presented by Tongdaewon District were evaluated to be appropriate for export to other countries.
The improvement of quality of products depends entirely upon the efforts of officials and employees at light industrial sector, since the solid foundation for production has already been laid.
The show served as an occasion to put spurs to technical exchange among factories and raise competitiveness.
