Rodong Sinmun Accuses U.S. of Sparking Arms Race
Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)
Pyongyang, March 28 (KCNA) -- U.S. Navy's engineers were reported to have recently fired the Navy's first industry-built electromagnetic railgun (EM Railgun) prototype launcher, a future long-range tactical weapon. The future tactical weapon for ships can hit surface, air and ground targets up to 100 miles away by use of motive energy five times faster than sound. When fully developed, the EM Railgun will be massively manufactured to be deployed on warships.
Meanwhile, the U.S. warlike forces opened to media for the first time the latest electromagnetic gun, which had been so far developed in camera.
The U.S. development of latest weapons is a revelation of the criminal scenario to ensure military edge and expand the sphere of its dominance in the Asia-Pacific region. Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says this in a bylined commentary.
It goes on:
The U.S. arms buildup is sparking a new Cold War and arms race.
Countries of the region have already sensitively reacted to the U.S. arms buildup and taken measures for bolstering military capability to cope with the possible situation in the future.
There is no need to explain what consequences this situation will entail.
To step up the arms buildup, blinded by the wild ambition for world domination, is a dangerous adventure foolish enough to dig one's own grave.
The U.S. would be well advised to face up to the situation and give up a foolish attempt and ambition for strengthening the military domination over the Asia-Pacific region.
