Launch of Working Satellite Will Represent Might of DPRK

Pyongyang, March 16 (KCNA) -- The spokesman for the Korean Committee for Space Technology announced Friday that the DPRK will launch a home-made application satellite to mark the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung (April 15).

The announcement has greatly delighted the employees of the State Science and Technology Commission.

Kang Jong Ryol, an official of the commission, told KCNA:

"I will be eagerly waiting for the launch of a 'DPRK'-marked working satellite. Now, I feel a great pride in living in a satellite power."

A section chief, Kim Yong Gon, said:

"It is really great news. The world will clearly witness the might of the DPRK guided by Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un."

A department director, O Jong Nam, said:

"After successfully launching two experimental satellites, DPRK scientists and technicians have steadily conducted scientific researches to develop and utilize working satellites indispensable for the country's economic development. I have no doubt that the upcoming launch will be successful."
