Heavy Rain Lashes North Jolla Province, S. Korea

Pyongyang, August 12 (KCNA) -- Heavy rain lashed North Jolla Province, south Korea on August 9, causing damage, according to south Korean KBS.

It heavily rained all day long from dawn, registering over 400 mm in Jongup alone, an all-time high in 41 years.

Different villages were inundated.

The recent heavy rain left more than 1 500 inhabitants homeless in the province. It also caused landslide, cutting roads and railways.
