Pyongyang Streets Bedecked with Flowers

Pyongyang, April 18 (KCNA) -- Streets of Pyongyang have been bedecked with various species of flowers, with the Day of the Sun, the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung, commemorated a few days ago.
Planted on the flower bed of the Pothong Gate rotary were short evergreen trees and various flowering plants, including Tagetes erecta.
The Pothong Gate, a historic relics, is surrounded by trees of good species like Sabina sargentii and flower towers.
The round flower bed near the Sanghung Park is adorned with light decorations to give a spectacular view at night.
The flower garden of the Chongnyu rotary has more than 10,000 flowering plants of different colors, including French marigold, planted in a three-dimensional way.
A 4-meter-high flower tower is standing in the centre of the garden.
The flowers add to the beauty of the city.
