Anecdote about Kim Il Sung

Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)

Pyongyang, February 22 (KCNA) -- It was one day in October 1957 when President Kim Il Sung met students in Tongju-ri, Pyoktong County during his field guidance to North Phyongan Province of the country.

After talking with the students, the President told officials to take a souvenir photo before the sunset.

He sat on the grass and chose every position for the students to pose for a picture.

But the cameraman felt perplexed because there were too many students to collect all of them into one lens.

Understanding this situation, the President stood up to look for best photographic side with the camera. Then he told the cameraman to focus it on the second button of uniform worn by a student in the middle.

The photographer, however, hesitated to press the shutter because shot in that direction was hard to put the image of the President in the center of photo.

Reading his mind, the President repeatedly asked the cameraman to make sure that the photo has clear faces of the students.

After all, the photographer could not but press the shutter of camera focused on the student.

This benevolent image of Kim Il Sung among students living in a mountainous area is still kept deep in minds of the people.
