Pyongyang, February 16 (KCNA) -- The Sino-DPRK friendly and cooperative relations are steadily growing stronger, said Meng Jianzhu, state councilor of the People's Republic of China and minister of Public Security, who visited the DPRK.
I was glad to visit the friendly DPRK in the significant year marking the 50th anniversary of the signing of the China-DPRK Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance, he noted, adding:
The Sino-DPRK friendship is a treasure provided and brought into bloom by the leaders of the elder generation of the two countries.
The bilateral relations are steadily developing as the days go by under the deep care of General Secretary Hu Jintao and General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
Kim Jong Il visited China twice last year and had in-depth exchanges of views on the issues of mutual concern with Hu Jintao.
His China visits helped develop the bilateral friendship to a new higher stage.
It is the fixed policy of the Chinese party and government to boost the Sino-DPRK friendly and cooperative relations.
These relations sealed in blood are brotherly and comradely.
The traditional Sino-DPRK friendship will be evergreen.
He wished the Korean people greater progress under the leadership of Kim Jong Il.
