o According to a May 18 report, Kim Jong-il visited a potato farm as well as a food factory in Baekam-gun and Samjiyeon-gun, Yanggang-do.
[Inter-Korean Issues]
o On May 16, North Korea threatened to take “practical actions” to counter
South Korea’s psychological warfare against the North. On May 19, North Korea issued a declaration instigating a struggle against the South Korean government concerning a local election in the South. On May 20, North Korea threatened an all-out war in response to South Korea’s announcement of its investigation findings into the sinking of the South Korean Navy corvette Cheonan.
