Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) -- Korean scientists and technicians have made tremendous achievements in the effort for the technological updating of industrial establishments.
The developers of Ryonha-trademarked machines have designed and manufactured a new model of 9-axis turning machining centre by themselves.
The high-performance CNC machine tool, weighing more than 40 tons, plays a crucial role in producing high-tech goods necessary for automobile, vessel, space, air and other industrial sectors.
The Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex has applied the CNC technology to the electricity management system and the electrode control system of the UHP electric arc furnace to decrease the consumption of electricity and increase the output from the furnace.
The scientists and technicians of the February 8 Vinalon Complex have streamlined the existing production processes on the basis of the CNC technology.
Scientists of the Computer Science Institute under the State Academy of Sciences, true to the Workers' Party of Korea's policy for a revolution in light industry, have helped light industry factories throughout the country in basing the production processes on the CNC technology.
