More Rallies Held to Congratulate Kim Jong Il's Reelection

Pyongyang, October 6 (KCNA) -- Rallies took place in Ryanggang Province and Rason City on Tuesday in congratulation of Kim Jong Il's reelection as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Present there were officials of party, power and economic organs and working people's organizations, people from all walks of life and youth and students in the province and city.
Speakers at the rallies said that having Kim Jong Il at the top post of the WPK is a manifestation of the absolute support and trust of the army and people of the DPRK in him.
Kim Jong Il, who developed in depth the immortal Juche idea to indicate the way of accomplishing the popular masses' cause of independence, has built the WPK into the party of President Kim Il Sung, setting a shining example in building a revolutionary party in the era of independence, they noted.
They underscored the need for the servicepersons and people to firmly arm themselves with the Juche idea and Songun idea, thoroughly embody them in the revolution and construction and staunchly make long journeys for the Songun revolution true to the leadership of the great party.
The speakers declared that they would more dynamically speed up the advance for effecting a great surge, closely rallied around the Central Committee of the WPK headed by Kim Jong Il, and thus contribute to bringing earlier the victory of the cause of building a thriving nation.
Meanwhile, more similar rallies are taking place in cities and counties everyday.
