Story of Kim Jong Il
Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)
Pyongyang, September 16 (KCNA) -- One October day in Juche 63 (1974) General Secretary Kim Jong Il gave field guidance to the Hwasan Co-op Farm in Sinchon County.
Going round the farm until evening set in, he had the car stopped near a threshing ground and got out of the car.
The chairman of the farm management board followed him with a wondering face.
There was nothing special but a rice sheaf on roadside.
Exposing himself to sleet, he took the sheaf and carried it to a rice stack.
He then told the chairman that a sheaf of rice was a trifle but it pertained to the property of the farm as it was a result of peasants' much labor.
His remark touched the heartstrings of the farm's official.
