Kim Jong Il Enjoys Art Performance

Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il together with servicepersons enjoyed a performance given by the art squad of KPA Unit 963.
The squad put on the stage mixed chorus "Please Receive Our Salute", female vocal solo "O. Mother Party", female quintet "Party Represents Care of the General" and other numbers of diverse genres.
Through the performance replete with the revolutionary soldier spirit the performers successfully represented the invincible might of the KPA which has grown to be a matchless army under the loving care of the great brilliant commander and the firm faith and will of the servicepersons to devotedly defend the headquarters of the revolution and accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche with arms, always remaining true to the Party.
Kim Jong Il highly estimated the successful performance and extended thanks to the creators and artistes, expressing great satisfaction over the fact that the members of the art squad staged a splendid performance rich in ideological contents and high in artistry with peculiar numbers truthfully representing the noble spiritual world of the KPA.
Saying that the members of the art squad are instilling the conviction of sure victory, optimism and the spirit and courage to wipe out the enemy into servicepersons through their militant performing activities as artistes of the revolutionary army, he highly appreciated their revolutionary work style.
Noting that art agitation is one of the effective means for educating servicepersons, he set forth important tasks which would serve as guidelines for conducting more dynamic performing activities as required by the Songun era.
Among the audience were Jang Song Thaek, vice-chairman of the NDC of the DPRK and department director of the WPK Central Committee, Secretaries Choe Thae Bok and Kim Ki Nam and other leading officials of the WPK Central Committee and commanding officers of the army and armed forces organs.
