Quality of Consumer Goods Raised

Pyongyang, September 6 (KCNA) -- Light industry factories of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea have steadily improved the quality of consumer goods, while increasing their output.
The Taedonggang Foodstuff Factory, the Kyongryon Aeguk Soda-pop Mill and many other foodstuff factories in Pyongyang have directed much effort to raising quality of products to please the taste of people.
The Wonsan Glass Bottle Factory, the Wonsan Shoes Factory and other light industry factories in Wonsan City have worked out schemes for turning out large quantities of quality consumer goods and pushed ahead with them.
Those in Hyesan City have increased the variety of consumer goods and bettered their quality by updating the production processes as required by the IT age.
The Songyo Knitted Goods Factory, which topped its July target at 117 percent, has streamlined its production processes and boosted the output of quality knitted fabrics by improving the workers' technique and skill.
The Tongdaewon Industrial Crops Processing Factory has developed some 70 kinds of products with industrial crops abundant in the country.
The new products, including sports shoes, slippers, blind and cushion, are well received by people.
