Meetings of Delegates of WPK Held

Pyongyang, September 1 (KCNA) -- Meetings of delegates of North and South Hwanghae provinces and Nampho City of the Workers' Party of Korea for the election of delegates to the WPK conference took place, according to Rodong Sinmun Wednesday.
Attending the meetings were delegates elected by provincial, city and county party committees and party organizations of units at different levels.
The meetings discussed the issue of electing delegates to the conference of the WPK.
Speeches proposing the election of General Secretary Kim Jong Il as delegate to the conference were made at the meetings by Kim Man Sik, secretary of the North Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the WPK who is delegate of the party organization of the provincial committee of the WPK, So Won Chol, secretary of the South Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the WPK who is delegate of the party organization of the provincial committee of the WPK, and Kang Yang Mo, chief secretary of the Nampho Municipal Committee of the WPK.
They said that the immortal exploits Kim Jong Il performed by leading the WPK and revolution to victory for a long period would shine forever in the history of Kim Il Sung's nation, adding that thanks to his leadership the army and people of the DPRK emerged the heroic army and people fully displaying their tremendous might and wisdom before the world.
They noted that the army and people of the DPRK see in the experienced and tested leadership of Kim Jong Il the day of the victory in the drive to build a thriving socialist nation, the desire of President Kim Il Sung.
They courteously proposed the election of Kim Jong Il as a delegate to the conference of the WPK, reflecting the unanimous wishes of all the party members and people of the provinces and the city.
Speakers at the meetings unanimously supported and approved the proposal.
Decisions on electing Kim Jong Il as a delegate to the conference of the WPK were adopted at the meetings with the unanimous approval.
The meetings also elected delegates to the conference of the WPK.
