The Yongsung Machinary Complex holds a completion ceremony
North Korea reported that the completion ceremony of “Sungun iron foundry” and “Sungun compressor factory” in the Yongsung Machinary Complex on August 17. (Korean Central News Agency on August 17)

North Korea condemns “Ulchi Freedom Guardian.”
The North focused on condemning “2010 Ulchi Freedom Guardian” in various major media such as “Q & A session of the spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry (8.18),” and a statement of “Korea National Peace Committee,” after the North officially responded in a statement of the spokesperson for the General Staff. (Korean Central News Agency on August 16~19)
NK movements related to Rev. Han’s visit to the North
North Korean media reported Rev. Han Sang-ryol’s visit and return to the South in detail. Rev. Han visited the North without an approval of the South Korean government. (June 12 ~ August 23, 23 times in Korean Central News Agency, Korean Central Television, and Chosun Shinbo etc.)

NK movements related to “Korea-Japan annexation treaty”
The North released statements of spokespersons for the Foreign Ministry and the “Democratic Front for the Reunification of the Fatherland,” and a memorandum of “Korean History Society” to condemn “Korea-Japan annexation treaty.” (Korean Central News Agency on August 20~22)
The NK Foreign Ministry spokesperson condemns the “Ulchi Freedom Guardian.”
The spokesperson for the North Korean Foreign Ministry in a press conference blasted the “Ulchi Freedon Guardian,” a U.S-ROK joint military war game. He also insisted that the U.S. and South Korea have responsibility for wrecking peace and stability in the region.
