North Korea reports flood damages.

NK criticizes the South for its military drill
The North’s military command overseeing the western inter-Korean border criticized the South that its military drill in the Yellow sea (August 5~9) was a military provocation. (Korean Central News Agency on August 3)

North Korea criticized the South Korean ministers of Unification Ministry and Foreign Ministry in regard with North Korea policy. (Korean Central Television, Rodong Sinmun on August 2~3)

NK repeatedly insists that it improve its nuclear deterrence.
North Korea said in a commentary of Rodong Sinmun (August 5) that the U.S.’ policy to threat North Korea has continued. It also insisted that the North will improve its nuclear deterrence.
NK Foreign Minister Pak visits Southeast Asian countries.
North Korean Foreign Minister Pak Ui Cheon visited four countries (Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, and Indonesia) of Southeast Asia from July 20 to August 7.
